All Cleaned Up

They are so clear.
It took us about 2-3 weeks to clean up the pond and weeds. Now it is much better.

Now I can see my fish.

Even polished our motor home.

Back home at The Great Outdoors

Home for the night. Looking forward to my King sized bed!

Easy 4 hour drive today. Arrived at around noon. Got very busy thereafter. Lots of stuff to unload. House looked good, fish lived in pond, but weeds are plentiful. We will be busy weeding for the next few days. Grateful for a wonderful trip and very happy to be home. So glad nothing was wrong at the house. We did trip the main breaker because we had everything powered up, i.e.,...Motor-home air conditioners and house air conditioner, hot water heater, laundry etc...oops. Thank God Elwin is an electrician and he reset it and fixed our issue. I got to feed my too many to count fish today, I guess I am re-bonding. Ahhh, Home.

Weeds and more weeds. Our new job, post vacation.

Lots of rain, produces great grass and weeds.

Weeds.

Need to clean up pond and trim our pond plants. Too many fish to count! Fed them twice today,...such fun!
Good trip, happy to be home. Thank you Lord for all of your provisions.

Brunswick, Georgia

Drove about 280 miles from Dillon, SC to Brunswick, GA. Got in as it rained. Stayed in the same park we stayed in on the way up. Nothing great, but full hook-up plus cable and Wi-Fi for $19; can't beat the price.
The humidity here will melt you. I am beginning to feel home. Tomorrow we have about 200 miles to get home. Should be home around noon. We are so looking forward to home and all the work it entails. Not really. Two months on the road was plenty. We are ready for routine again! Aqua-size here I come!

Dillon, South Carolina

Drove from Richmond, Virginia to Dillon, South Carolina today. It was about 275 miles. Had some rain spritzes here and there, but otherwise no issues. The temperatures are rising. We definitely know we are closer to home. I am sweating just thinking about it, ha ha.
Our site and home for the night. Got in just before the rain, yeah.

Historic Williamsburg, Virginia

Shops inside the old historic town of Williamsburg.
Our good friends Van and Lynn took us to Williamsburg today. We toured the town for an hour, then drove to Yorktown for lunch on the James River. The weather is humid, but cooler than normal, so walking was pleasant. We had a lot of fun visiting and seeing what our forefathers fought for. I am grateful to be an American. I appreciate what they did for our freedom as a new nation.

Beautiful gardens behind the houses.

Beautiful Gardens.

On The Road to New Kent, Virginia

Our rig at the Rest Area

Traveled from Westover, Virginia through the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel again, to route 64 to the McPherson's house. The trip was nice with great weather, but the traffic on 64 was stop and go for 2 extra hours. Having a wonderful visit with our friends. So nice to be right in their driveway and enjoy each other's company. The best part is the meals! All my friends are such good cooks, that we just eat and eat. Looking forward to visiting Williamsburg, Virginia on Monday.

Lake Somerset Family Campground, Maryland

Today we drove about 200 miles from New Jersey, through Delaware and into Maryland. Lots of stop and go traffic on the roads through Delaware, but the weather was comfortable with open windows. Our campground is right on Somerset Lake, stocked with bass and lots of wild geese. I loved taking their pictures as people fed them bread. Our site is a nice level pull-thru gravel and grass place to rest. The amenities are nice, including a pool, which I may have to check out this afternoon.

Home for the night.
